1. Want to set a Guinness World Record? Head down to the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park at 2:30 p.m.  Tanger is celebrating its 30th anniversary by trying to set a world record for staging the largest dessert party. Shoppers should arrive at any Tanger Factory Outlet Center, including Deer Park and Riverhead, by 2:30 to pick up free cookies, cupcakes and brownies. The official eating time will be synchronized to take place between 3 and 3:15 p.m. Reservations are not necessary, but the event will be closed once capacity is reached. Allow plenty of time to park and walk to the event.

2. The Huntington Township Chamber Of Commerce will its State of the Chamber annual networking meeting from 7:30-10 a.m. at Coindre Hall. The meeting includes a presentation, "Building Your Business: Effective Tools And Resources For Successful Business Networking & Relationships."

3. John Theissen Children's Foundation of Wantagh will its ninth annual Casino Royale Fundraiser at 7 p.m. at the Woodbury Country Club to benefit the foundation's Back to School Program and Family Fun Center. This year's event will honor PIX morning news anchor Jill Nicolini. Tickets can be found online.

4. The third annual Striking Back @ Diabetes will be held at 300 Bowl in Melville from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. All proceeds go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in order to give children with a full paid scholarship to diabetes summer camp.
