Brooks Brothers at Walt Whitman Shops is hosting two hours of shopping accompanied by cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as part of abenefit for the Michael J. Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The event, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m., will channel 25 percent of sales to the foundation.
--There's a community job fair Thursday afternoon at the VFW Hall. Sponsored by Suffolk County and Legis. William Spencer, the fair will run from 1-4 p.m. The hall is at 210 W. Pulaski Road, Huntington Station.
--Keeping safe on the road is the theme of a workshop at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library. Don Longo,a licensed private investigator, will talk about traveling abroad and how to remain safe, from 7 to 9 p.m.
