To Receive Basic Star You Need To Re-Register

All homeowners who receive the Basic Star Exemption must re-register by December 31, 2013 to continue to receive the exemption in 2014 and in subsequent years. Click here http://www.tax.ny.gov/pit/property/star13/default.htm for detailed information about the Star Exemption and how to re-register!
Here is background information  for you if you don't know about STAR:
What is STAR? The New York State School Tax Relief Program (STAR) provides homeowners with two types of partial exemptions from school property taxes. If you earn less than $500,000 and own and live in your home, you’re probably eligible for the STAR exemption. There are two types of STAR exemption: Basic and Enhanced.
Basic STAR • Basic STAR is available for owner-occupied, primary residences where the resident owner's and spouse's income is less than $500,000.• Enhanced STAR  • Enhanced STAR provides an increased benefit for the primary residences of senior citizens (age 65 and older) with qualifying incomes less than $81,900. •
