Band Musicians Wanted

The Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 22-7 Band in Ft. Salonga is looking for additional musicians (woodwind, brass & percussion) to augment its marching/concert band. This is an all-volunteer, civilian organization, but we are part of Homeland Security.   We enjoy all the benefits of the CG Auxiliary.  We rehearse on Tuesdays at the Northport Middle School on Middleville Rd. and sometimes at the VA Hospital Auditorium. We march in some local parades (including leading the Cow Harbor Day Parade) around Long Island and in Manhattan.  Each year we perform concerts at the Northport VA Hospital and Veteran’s home for those who fought for us. We perform ceremonies for the Coast Guard, play at the Intrepid Museum, to support awareness and morale. Like the rest of the Auxiliary, you must be at least 17, be a US citizen and pass a background check. You must also be responsible to purchase your own uniform.  All  instruments needed.
