Dix Hills Resident's Photograph Selected for Inclusion in Museum of the City of New York's Hurricane Sandy Exhibit

Dix Hills resident Ron Leshnower's photograph, "Imagining a New Boardwalk," depicting a perspective of the Long Beach boardwalk reconstruction is among 400 photographs on view in Rising Waters 2.0, a special presentation at the Museum of the City of New York, as part of the exhibit, Rising Waters: Photographs of Sandy, presented in collaboration with the International Center of Photography.

Earlier this year, the Museum of the City of New York held an open call for Hurricane Sandy images to display in a planned photography exhibit chronicling the superstorm's damage and subsequent recovery efforts. The Museum received about 10,000 submissions.

The special presentation runs from Thursday, December 26, through Sunday, January 5, at the Museum of the City of New York, which is located at 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street in Manhattan.

Visit www.mcny.org for more information about the exhibit and the museum. You can also view Mr. Leshnower's photographs at www.ronleshnower.com/sandy.html.
