April 25: Town Embraces Greener Travel

Here are five things to know about today in Half Hollow Hills.

1. Start your engines! The Town of Huntington unveiled a five-vehicle electric charging station at the South Parking Garage of the Long Island Railroad terminal in Huntington Station this week.

2. Long Island Spring Restaurant Week ends Sunday. Four Food Studio, Jewel and Cirella's are all participating. Check out the full list of participating restaurants here.

3. The trial of a is continuing. On Monday, a federal prosecutor said that Christian Tarantino killed Vincent Gargiulo because he knew about the businessman's involvement in two other murders and was attempting to extort him for $500,000.

4. Learn which may be lurking in your home during a presentation at the Fran Greenspan Administration Center today at 11:30 a.m. The event is ssponsored by The Half Hollow Hills PTA Council and Legislator Steve Stern with guest speakers from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the Huntington Breast Cancer Action Coalition.
