The Half Hollow Hills School District is holding a blood
drive at Candlewood Middle Schools on Friday from 2:30-7:30 p.m.
The event gives community members the chance to help neighbors and friends, as there are local students and a family in need, organizers say. The blood drive comes at a time when the community blood supply is low because of the recent storm when similar events were cancelled, according to the New York Blood Center.
One donation can save three lives, the Blood Center points out.
The Candlewood Middle School Blood Drive will be held Friday, 2:30-7:30 p.m. at 1200 Carll’s Straight Path in Dix Hills.
