Here are some of the top events going on around town today. Enjoy!

Here is a sampling of some of the events happening in Dix Hills/Melville today, Monday, January 24. For a complete listing, please browse the on the Dix Hills Patch site.

  1. "Games People Play" at the Dix Hills branch of the today includes  from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and from 2 -5 p.m. Both of these games are informal sessions and do not include instruction. Bring your own game equipment to play. No registration is required.
  2.  There are two free art exhibits to check out today. The exhibit "" is being displayed at the Art-trium Gallery in Melville from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the exhibit "-Inspirations from the East, Expressions of the West" is being shown at the in Dix Hills from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  3. Could your kids, grades 1-7, use some help with their homework? Bring them down to the of the library between 4-5 p.m. where and Key Club and honor students will be available for individual assistance. Call the library at 631-421-4530 to register.
  4. Come down to and cheer on the Hills West team as they take on Deer Park this afternoon at 4 p.m.
