Saturday is the first time residents in the Half Hollow Hills area got out their shovels as more than 3 inches of snow acculmulated.
The white blanket made for a pretty, but dangerous scene in the morning as several car crashes were reported in the area.
The skies should clear Saturday night, followed by sunshine and above-freezing temperatures on Sunday, the National Weather Service predicted.
