HHH Library Hosts Family Financial Literacy Fair

More than 130 families attend fair on Saturday.

On Saturday, March 2, children in grades K-5 learned the importance of saving a dollar at the Family Financial Literacy Fair, hosted at Half Hollow Hills Community Library in Dix Hills.

More than 130 families participated in money related activities and enjoyed music and giveaways, with many children receiving a free digital bank.

Among the experienced professionals in attendance was tax attorney Karen Tenenbaum. She incorporated fun ways to teach children about how to save and handle money. Life-sized character, “Walter the Vault,” helped promote financial literacy, demonstrating how to save reasonably, spend responsibly, invest wisely, give appropriately, and budget regularly.
