Letter to the Editor: We Need Safer Roads
A parent of three expresses concern after a student was injured in a hit and run.
Dear Editor,
As the parent of three 17-year-old drivers, I am concerned with the safety on our roads.
Our route to takes us onto Caledonia Road many times each day, and I know it's just matter of time when one of the many runners will get hit. The road is narrow and very curvy and if there is a car coming in the other direction (frequently over the yellow line) there is a choice to make. Hit the car or hit the runner. What choice would you make?

The runners have no respect for the road and don't even attempt to move out of the way. This is a road frequented by inexperienced drivers on their way to and from school so again I say, it's just a matter of time. Someone needs to address this hazard…
I have always thought I should file a report with the town, but while I was reading Patch this morning and there was an article about and High School East…..and yes, they need a light, I thought writing to you would spark some interest in making our neighborhood safer.

I hope something gets done before the tragedy occurs.
