First meeting set for tonight at the Half Hollow Hills Library at 7 p.m.

The Chai Center is running a Mitzvah Volunteer Project beginning Monday at the Half Hollow Hills Library in Dix Hills

Scheduled for three consecutive Mondays (March 4, 11, 18) the project will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Ariella’s Friendship Circle Mitzvah Project offers a unique opportunity to give volunteers a genuine sensitivity to individuals who have special needs. Along with an understanding and respect of people with disabilities, participants will learn a number of disabilities and the proper way to interact with someone who has special needs.
