Deer Park-North Babylon

A Deer Park woman plans to file a lawsuit against the New York City Police Department claiming that a police officer stole risqué photos and videos of her off of her phone.  

The New York Daily News reported that Pamela Held, 27, and her attorney, Richard Soleymanzadeh, said that Officer Sean Christian sent photos of Held from her cell phone to his personal cell phone.

Calling it a “monumental step” in the company’s history, Canon U.S.A. officially opened its Americas Headquarters in Melville recently.

A West Sayville woman is facing criminal charges stemming from an alleged relationship with a male under the age of 17.

Stacey Antos, 40, pleaded not guilty Wednesday before Judge Barbara Kahn in Suffolk County Criminal Court to three E felony counts of rape in the third degree, as well as one misdemeanor for allegedly acting in a manner that could injure a child.

Patchogue

The grandfather of a Mastic man arrested Monday for allegedly driving while intoxicated was killed in an East Patchogue car accident on Sunrise Highway Monday, says Suffolk County Police.

West Islip

An out-of-control driver tore through a building on the property of a real estate agent in West Islip Sunday.  Newsday reports that the driver suffered a medical emergency, which caused the crash at the site of Netter Real Estate on Montauk Highway.

West Babylon

A West Babylon man who is a substitute physical education teacher in the South Huntington School District was arrested Thursday afternoon after police say they found child pornography on his computer. 

Francesco Santodonato, 39, was arrested at 4:26 p.m. at his home after a forensic examination of Santodonato's computer and other media revealed pictures and videos of child pornography, police said.

Lindenhurst

A six-year old boy died after drowning in a family pool in North Lindenhurst on Tuesday afternoon.

Suffolk County Police said a grandmother found her six-year old grandson in the family pool at her home at 90 Bedell Street at around 5 p.m. Monday.
