Oct. 31: Happy Halloween

Here are five things to know about this All-Hallows-Eve.

1. It's your last day to submit photos of your child in his/her costume and win a trip to meet Heidi Klum in our Patch Halloween Photo Contest.  Does your child have a stellar costume you want everyone to see? Enter the contest here: http://patch.com/A-nbLJ. Submit your photos by 9 p.m.

2. Bring the little ones down to this evening from 4-6 p.m. to trick-or-treat during as the halls and classrooms are transformed into a spooky (but not too scary) tour.

3. The Town of Huntington is hosting the Children of all ages (and their parents or guardians) are welcome to dress in costume and walk in the parade. Those who want to participate should meet in front of the Huntington Post Office on Gerard Street at 4 p.m. The parade begins at 4:15. Shops along Main Street in Huntington will be giving out candy to trick-or-treaters.

4. For a thrill this All Hallows' Eve, head to the Deer Park Community Center at 41 Homer Avenue in Deer Park from 7-10 p.m. to experience a walking tour of tricks at Zombieworld Attack of the Killer Clowns.
