Patch Picks: Achieve a New Look at One of These Hair Salons

1. NV Hair Company - 146 West Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station; 631-271-2111

Located on Jericho Turnpike, one quarter mile west of Route 110, this full service salon offers cuts, blow outs, updos, straightening, extensions, color, nails, make-up and waxings. They service women, men and children and taut there personalized customer service. Redken & Goldwell collections are there products of choice. They also specialize in complete bridal and bar/bat mitzvah services.

2. Cactus Salon and Spa - 1262 E. Jericho Turnpike, Dix Hills; 631-423-7110

Cactus Salon, with over 25 Long Island locations, was started in Dix Hills 32 years ago by Joseph Secreti.  Their services range from haircuts and color, bride elite teams, Suvara spray tanning, Brazilian Keratin treatments and most recently, Glisten medical spa services that include the most advanced anti-aging laser treatments. They also provide make-up, nails and full spa services including massage, facials and body treatments. According to Karen Vito, the concept of Cactus today is Total Beauty. They are open every day except Mondays.

3. Vincent Bruce Salon - 15 East Deer Park Road, Dix Hills; 631-543-1100

This Bumble and Bumble network salon owned by hair artist, platform artist, and educator Vincent Bruce, offers hair cutting, color, chemical design, nail care, waxing, facials, and make-up. They also offer hair-waving, hair-calming and Japanese re-texturizing services. In addition to their full-service salon servicing both men and women, Vincent Bruce has a separate salon called Kids Cuts to service kids ages 12 and under with a kid friendly atmosphere best suited for them. They are open seven days a week.

This full service salon and day spa is located on the northwest corner of Jericho Turnpike and Commack Road in the Peppertree Commons shopping center. They offer hair styling, cutting, coloring and hair texturizing services, as well as nails, face and body waxing, massages, facials and body treatments. They service men, women and children and are open seven days a week.

This salon was opened 22 years ago by Anthony DeFranco. From a staff of five to their current staff of about 50, this salon offers hair cutting, styling, color, straightening, re-texturizing, extensions, make-up and bridal services. They also provide spa services including facials, massages, nails and body treatments. They specialize in Kerastase and L’Oreal products and are open every day except Mondays.
