Here are five things to know about today in Half Hollow Hills

1. This wet weather is ideal for mosquitos. Beware of their bite: seven new samples tested positive for West Nile Virus in Suffolk County, include another in Dix Hills, the health department said on Tuesday. Avoid being outdoors during dusk and dawn and pour out any sitting water on your property.
