An Instagram photo led to hot water for four local young men who are facing hefty fines after they were caught capturing two deer fawns and posting pics of their caper.

According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the four young men face up to $1700 in fines after posting the photos on Instagram.

“The pursuit and capture of native wildlife is not tolerated in New York State,” DEC Regional Director Peter A. Scully said. “Although these young men may have thought their actions were harmless and trivial, serious consequences can occur due to these types of actions. Wildlife can be dangerous and unpredictable, and DEC’s environmental conservation offices deserve recognition for their successful pursuit of this case.”

Cops Bust Streaker

A naked man jumping in front of cars on Route 112 near the Long Island Expressway in Medford was seen by residents Saturday morning around 8:10 a.m.

A resident sent into Patch the embedded video of a male standing in the middle of Route 112 as he leaps in front of cars that swerve around him.

Suffolk County Police told Patch that the man was transported to the hospital for mental evaluation, but is not releasing further information.

'Junior' Gotti Stabbed

John A. "Junior" Gotti, son of the late "Teflon Don" John Gotti, was stabbed in the gut outside Syosset's CVS store Sunday.

Gotti, who famously claimed to have renounced his role in the Gambino crime family once ruled by his father, was attacked by an unknown assailant late Sunday night, multiple news sources and organizations have confirmed.

He was first brought to Syosset hospital and then to North Shore University Hospital, according to WABC. He has since been released, WABC reported.

Nassau District Attorney Kathleen Rice said her office and Nassau Police are jointly investigating the stabbing.

Cops: Men Stole from Mall's Clothing Donation Bin

Nassau County Police Officers placed four men, including two from Lindenhurst, under arrest on Tuesday morning after they were caught allegedly stealing from a clothes donation bin at the Westfield Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.

Police said Seventh Precinct officers saw the group take clothing out of the bin and place it into a Dodge van before attempting to leave.
