The Art League of League of Long Island is teaming with Splashes of Hope to bring art into hospitals and social service facilities.

Help make a child's time in a hospital a little brighter by creating a piece of art to be displayed in medical facilities around the country.

, located in Dix Hills, is teaming with Splashes of Hope, a non-profit organization in Huntington that donates custom-designed murals and artwork to children's medical centers, as well as social service facilities.

Local artists of all levels are asked to create and donate an original piece of art in any medium (watercolor, pencil, paint, photography, etc.) on the artist material provided.

The goal is to collect 100 pieces of art for an exhibition titled "Small Delights," which will be put on display in Art League's main gallery from Sept. 5 through 8.

All of the "Small Delights" art will be on sale for a suggested minimum price of $25.

The Art League will then donate a portion of the proceeds to Splashes of Hope.

Submissions should be unframed and labeled on the back and given to the Art League of Long Island's Main Office by Aug. 15.
