Children's Spring Workshop

Children, ages 8 and up, are invited to come celebrate Poetry month in this spring workshop entitled, Poetry and Lilacs.

Inspired by Walt Whitman’s poem When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom’d, the children will be guided by published poet and experienced art instructor, Anne Kingsbury, as they use foam sheets to craft the front door of Whitman’s house, with a lilac bush next to it!

A variety of short poems with Spring themes written on colored paper will be attached to the lilac bush.  The result will have a loop for hanging.
