According to the Art League, printmaking has always been Jacobson's first love.

"I tend to think in terms of printmaking first—monotype, etching, woodcut, silkscreen, lithography, xerox transfer. Often, I layer my work, mixing a silkscreen with a woodcut, monotype, solarplate or drawing. The possibilities in printmaking today are virtually endless, and that keeps me energized and excited," she told the Art League.
