TV Dance Star Teaches Local Students

"So You Think You Can Dance Star" visits with young dancers in East Northport.

Courtney Galiano, the Dix Hills native who went on to be become a finalist in the Fox show, "So You Think You Can Dance," season four, paid a visit to Anita's Studio of Dance on Larkfield Road in East Northport, last week.

The television and movie star taught the studio's master classes. Galiano served as a role model for the young dancers not just because of her talent, but also her ability to overcome her diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis.

Students at the dance studio will be greeted by another famous duo in the dance world Dec. 14 when Angel Armas and Victor Smalley from the hit show "Dance Moms: Miami" come to teach the dancers' lyrical and jazz classes.
