In the continuing series, “Visions for Vacancies,” Half Hollow Hills Patch features vacant storefronts and seeks input from readers as to the type of business they would like to see fill the empty location.

This week the vacancy is a storefront at on Walt Whitman Road (Route 110) in Melville, which used to house . The storefront is located next to a deli.

When it was open, Melville Florist sold more than flowers. The shop was filled with bouquets, gift baskets, greeting cards, stuffed animals and other gifts and decorative items.
