Independent Film Shoots Scenes in Dix Hills

Beast of the East Productions talks about their new film "Love and Small Print," which was partially shot in Dix Hills.

Long Island based production company Beast of the East Productions recently filmed scenes for a new short film entitled "Love and Small Print" in Dix Hills.

Patch visited the set for a look behind the scenes with the cast and crew to find out about the new movie and why they decided to shoot on Long Island.

Ramfis Myrthil, co-founder of Beast of the East Productions, says the film is about three intertwined stories exploring often uncomfortable aspects of bad relationships. The film's director, Adam Lawrence, says they are looking to make a film with relationship drama that people could relate to.

The scenes shot in Dix Hills are about one of the couples in the film, Jessica and Kyle portrayed by Christina Bonal and Shpend Xani. They talked about portraying an abusive relationship on screen and the message they hope to send. Check out the video to see what they had to say.

The film is expected to show at several film festivals this summer. For more information about the Beast of the East Productions, you can check out their website www.botep.net
