Pathmark Tops Worst Supermarkets List

A recent survey shows Pathmark shoppers aren't satisfied with their experience.

A national supermarket survey released by Consumer Reports found that Pathmark customers have the worst experience of any supermarket chain in the United States.

topped the list, and according to this slideshow, 75 percent of those polled had at least one complaint about shopping at the New Jersey-based chain, which has locations on Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon and on Old Country Road in Dix Hills.

Food quality, price and cleanliness concerns weighed on Pathmark, which is a unit of A&P.

, which is also owned by A&P and has a locations in Deer Park and Melville, avoided the list.

No wonder. Pathless Mart has been lost in its own vomit for years. I just wish it would go away and the best locations converted to Food Basics. Pathless Mart has no redeeming value, no distinct brand except for rude employees, rotten produce and high prices. It won't be missed for a second.
