Here's what you need to know: 

1. Candlewood Middle Schooler Nova Shek recently donated two iPads to a Commack preschool after seeing the benefits the iPad had for brother, who has autism. Nova sold chocolate lollipops to raise money. Read about it here. 

2. State Sen. Carl L. Marcellino will hold a mobile office/community meeting at the Melville branch of the library from 3-6 p.m. 

3. Learn about the benefits and savings of green roofs for your home during a Green Living seminar at the Melville branch of the library at 7 p.m. No registration required.
