Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday for Lawrence A. Kushnick, the Huntington Chamber of Commerce chairman who died Monday.

Kushnick, who was 51, was a Melville attorney and active civic leader who took on the chamber role just two weeks ago.

Family will receive friends and family at 11 a.m. at Gutterman's, 8000 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury.

A rabbi will speak at noon. Burial will follow in Huntington Jewish Cemetery, Old Country Road, Huntington Station.

Huntington Supervisor Frank Petrone said, "I am saddened by Larry Kushnick’s passing. Larry was a distinguished member of the legal community who worked tirelessly on behalf of the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce. He was the glue that made the Fall Festival such an annual success and the skills he honed organizing that signature Huntington event also were invaluable in putting together the first Huntington Station Unity in the Community fair several years ago. He will be sorely missed.”
