Philanthropy Day is celebrated in November in cities across America. Fundraising professionals, board members, business leaders, community activists and individuals gather for professional development and to honor their leaders. Long Island’s Philanthropy Day is one of the largest one-day fundraising conferences in the country and regularly attracts more than 700 attendees and 60 exhibitors, with the highlight of the day being the Awards Luncheon. Bank of America is the Presenting Partner for Philanthropy Day 2012.


More than 500 fundraisers, volunteers, executive directors, boards of directors, philanthropists, and businesses will be on hand. The day will include a program by keynote speaker Michael Watt, workshops given by the best in fundraising and a luncheon.

7:00 AM – 8:30 AM – registration, orientation


8:30 AM – 9:15 AM – Michael Watt, Long Island Inc. – Keynote Speaker 


9:15 AM – 9:30 AM – Exhibits, networking


9:30 AM – 12:45 PM - Workshops A, B, networking, career counseling


12:45 PM – 2:00 PM – PHILANTHROPY DAY AWARDS LUNCHEON, honoring:
