Several weeks prior to the 2013 Boston
Marathon, a young 8 year old named Martin created this poster as part of
a classroom project. Martin was near the Boston finish
line with his family, waiting for his dad to cross. His mother and
little sister were catastrophically injured when the terrorist bomb
exploded. Martin was the only child who died in that bomb explosion.
Martin's message resonates powerfully. WE WILL CHANT AT VOICES OF FAITH FOR PEACE
as our prayer that we all live by Martin's
words, paying tribute to his too-brief, but immeasurably valuable life
by following his example.
There will be 14 faiths represented.
Through chanting scared sounds and words of peace, we set a tone for all humanity. A vibration that realigns us with our most sacred and spiritual self. We want to use this universal language to fill our culture with aspirations for peace and brotherhood.
It is profoundly powerful experience.
