Hello my name is Kyle Hubbs, I am 13 years old and have always been interested in fundraising.  In October of 2010 I successfully raised $1,307.00 by just having my friends, family and neighbors donate unwanted items for a sale we had at our home.  I had a sale to benefit four great Charities Posh Pets Rescue, Helping Maria Luise, Huntington Lighthouse and Rescue Ink.  Each Charity received $326.75, plus I collected items for our local pet shelter such as blankets, towels, sheets, dog and cat food, pet toys, etc…

My parents helped me collect the items and advertise the event on Facebook, News 12 Website “What’s Going On”, Craiglist and flyers that I put in my surrounding neighbors mail boxes and my school.  We delivered two huge lawn-leaf bags of donated items to our local pet sanctuary “Little Shelter”.

This year I wanted to “step it up” by having an Art ~ Chinese auction which I titled “Fine Arts for Good Hearts”.  The Charities I have chosen this year are, The American Cancer Society, The Lupus Foundation, American Diabetes Association, Rescue Ink (the army for animals) and Baiting Hollow Farm Horse Rescue.

Perhaps you would be able to help by donating some type of art:  paintings, photographs, sketches, drawings, carvings, sculptures, homemade unique jewelry, framed posters, etc… for an excellent cause, or you may know a friend or family member that you could pass this along to.  Not an artist? how about making up a themed basket like, sports, outdoor picnic, wine, spa treatment, art supplies, fishing, gardening, toys, baby items, pet items, games, etc… the possibilities are endless.  If you are unable to donate you could help by joining us at the event and bring along a friend.  My friends and I will also be collecting any donated animal shelter items or box tops for education.

If you have a talent and would like to make a donation, I am asking that your art work be matted or framed.  Please title and labeled with your name so that we can make a list of your items for the auction.  Already we have had a HUGE success just by word of mouth to our family and friends.  Artwork should be donated by May 2, 2011 to give us time to organize your items for the event and you time to prepare it.  My parents are willing to pick-up your donations or you can mail them to us:

You can also call or email us for further questions or concerns that you may have:  (631) 385-7455

Once again this event will be posted on Facebook, invitations mailed, News 12 “What’s Going  On” and it will be held at the beautiful Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard in Baiting Hollow, New York.

Just a reminder:  Any type of Artwork

Thank you and I hope to meet and see you at the event.
