Melville Fire Department 9/11 10th Anniversary Plaque Dedication

The Melville Fire Department on 9/11/2011 to mark the 10th anniversary will be dedicating a plaque that will contain the names of ALL 43 Town of Huntington residents that perished that day. This is not just Fire, Police, or EMS, but any Town resident.

The service is scheduled to promptly start at 8:30 a.m., with moments of silence at the time of the first and second strike on the Towers followed by the readings of the names of the Town of Huntington residents who perished that day.

This dedication will take place at substation #3, at the corner of New York Avenue and Old Country Road in Melville.
