Art League Seeks Public's Help in Obtaining Grants

Dix Hills organization could win up to $250,000 from the Chase Community Giving program.

The Dix Hills-based Art League of Long Island is seeking the public’s help to win financial assistance of up to $250,000 from the Chase Community Giving program. Voting deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Using social media networks, the Chase Community Giving program has already directed more than $20 million dollars toward charities nationwide. The program is being continued this year, giving hundreds of additional charities including the Art League of Long Island, the opportunity to win grants to further their mission.

"The Art League has consistently provided a strong foundation in the visual arts for Long Islanders for almost 60 years. Receiving even $10,000 would be a tremendous boost for us, and will ensure the great work we are doing will continue for many more years," said Thomas Stacey, the Art League's Executive Director.
