Comedian Brill Coming to DHPAC

Performance Set for Sept. 22.

Comedian Eddie Brill brings his act to the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 7:30 p.m.

Best known as the nightly warm-up act for “Late Night with David Letterman” for the past 14 years, Brill has also been the show’s comedy talent coordinator and has also appeared on numerous Letterman broadcasts.

Born in New York City and raised in Hollywood, Fla., Brill has been a regular on the comedy scene in England for more than 20 years and has worked regularly in numerous countries around the world.

He started doing stand-up comedy in the late 1970′s while a student at Emerson College in Boston and moved back to New York to take a job as an advertising agency copywriter. In July of 1984, he returned to comedy when he started, booked and hosted the Paper Moon Comedy Club in New York’s West Village.

Brill has also hosted and performed for hundreds of corporate events for leading firms such as ESPN, Glaxo Welcome, Hyatt Hotels and BMC Software and played to crowds at some of the best known theaters including The Shrine Auditorium and Radio City Music Hall.
