Red Fox Sighting In Blue Point

It used to be rabbits appearing at day's end in local backyards but now it seems to be red foxes who clearly are comfortable trotting slowly through yards, sipping from inground pools or, as another Blue Point resident reported on Facebook Monday, brazenly laying in the sun.

Sachem Alum Among Historic Advisory Board

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine introduced the newly assembled members of the town's first-ever Hispanic Advisory Board on Friday, and the board includes a notable Sachem Alum.

Victor Canales, more popularly known as DJ Vic Latino, was appointed to the advisory board after the town board voted in favor of creating the body.

Share the Voice Donates Tricycle to Disabled W. Babylon Child

Share the Voice, a non-profit organization established to enhance the lives of disabled children, announced that it delivered its second adaptive tricycle to a disabled child in West Babylon on Sat., July 27.

The Rifton adaptive tricycle, valued at over $1,700, was presented to 5-year-old Nicholas, who was diagnosed with hypotonia, or low-muscle tone.
