Christmas Lights

A letter to the people at Elie Tahari who are ruining the Christmas feeling in the village of East Hampton.

Someone has to tell the folks at Elie Tahari on corner of Main and Newtown that the lights inside the store have to go. Seriously. Whoever designed them and whoever gave the go ahead to install them need to be told the the 1980's were 30 years ago. It's Christmas not some weird disco party.Tasteless awful absurd .....This is East Hampton. This is home. Please remove those ''things'' before we get too close to Christmas.

That's kind of funny. I think you are inferring that there is a point to get. Can you tell me that you have actually purchased something there yourself?

I drove by last night and the lights were out. I felt kinda sad. they looked like depressed balloon animals. Made me feel a tad grinch- like.

Good Grief! The "lights" patrols, the "religeous" zeleots.... the "strict code"enforcers..... the "why have fun" brigade.....the "store windows" revisionists.... the "cannot talk to you now" blinded drivers.....the "Dan Flavin" neonistas.....the "Bonacs Xmas" lights decorators.....the are all out in full force! Merry "something" Charlie Brown!
