A crash at the intersection of Half Hollow Road and Wildwood Drive in Dix Hills sent four individuals to the hospital late Monday night.
According to police at the scene, a limousine driver was making a left turn from Wildwood Drive onto Half Hollow Road around 11:20 p.m. when his vehicle collided with a white Range Rover, forcing the limousine into the guardrail.
The Dix Hills Fire Department responded to the scene with assistance from the Melville Fire Department. Firefighters extracted the limousine driver with heavy rescue machinery. He was sent to be treated at Stony Brook Hospital, but was not seriously hurt in the crash, police said.
The driver of the Range Rover, as well as two passengers were sent to Huntington Hospital for minor injuries as well, police said.
