Driver Crashes Into Pole in Dix Hills

No major injuries were reported at the scene of the crash

A driver crashed into a utility pole Tuesday morning, snapping it in half.

The driver of a late model pick up truck was traveling east on Vanderbilt Pkwy about 8 a.m. Tuesday morning near Waydale Road in Dix Hills when the vehicle skidded off the rain slicked road, police said. The driver slammed into a utility pole, snapping it in half.

No major injuries were sustained in the crash, police said.
