Two people, including a child, were in the hospital Saturday after a car slammed into a parked landscaping truck in Melville, police said.
The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when the male driver of a Honda sedan travelling on Beaumont Drive lost control of the car and hit the truck, flipping the car into the middle of the road.
The driver and a child, estimated to be about 4 years old, in the car were taken to Huntington Hospital with head injuries, police said.
