Counterfeit Bills Spent at Whitman Store
Suffolk police say woman passed $500 in bad currency.
Suffolk County Police are seeking the public's help to identify and locate a woman who purchased clothing with counterfeit money in Huntington Station.
A woman, who was in the company of two men, went into the Banana Republic, at Walt Whitman Shops, and purchased more than $430 worth of clothing by paying with five counterfeit $100 bills on Jan. 17.
The three left the store on foot on the Route 110 side of the mall. The woman was described as light-skinned black and in her mid 20s. The males were described as black and in their mid 20s.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.
All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
