Crime Alert: Wanted for Stolen Merchandise

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Second Precinct Crime Section are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two unknown men who entered the Marshall’s store located at 830 Walt Whitman Road in Melville and stole merchandise.

According to police, on Friday, July 8, at approximately 6 p.m., two black males entered the Marshall’s store and one male took six assorted baseball hats and one shirt and the second male took two Polo shirts and one pair of jeans valued at $230. The pair left the store without paying for the items and then fled northbound in a gold Oldsmobile, police said.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
