Crime Log: Husband Shoves Wife

A look at recent criminal incidents in Half Hollow Hills.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions. 

  • An incident of aggressive harassment involving the ex-girlfriend of a 911 caller’s husband was reported on March 2 at Truxton Rd. in Dix Hills.

  • An incident of criminal mischief was reported on March 8 at Broadhollow Rd. in Melville. Police reported that the 911 caller's car was keyed.

  • An incident of aggravated harassment was reported on February 26 at Sleepy Hollow Rd. in Dix Hills in which the 911 caller told police that threats were received over the phone.

  • An incident of petit larceny was reported on Feb. 27 on Deer Park Ave. in Dix Hills. The 911 caller said that a customer did not pay a repair bill.

  • An incident of harassment was reported on Feb. 22 at Burroughs Ave. in Dix Hills.

  • An incident of burglary was reported on Feb. 22 at Village Hill Dr. in Dix Hills. The 911 caller said that their home’s front door was discovered unlocked.

  • An incident of criminal mischief was reported on Feb. 21 at Carius Ct. in Dix Hills. The 911 caller told police that their 18-year-old son was out of control and destroying property.

  • An incident of criminal mischief was reported on Feb. 17 at Cedar Crest Dr. in Dix Hills. The 911 caller told police that a fence was damaged.

  • An incident of aggravated assault was reported on March 4 at Ridge Dr. in Melville.

  • An incident of grand larceny was reported at Lone Hill Pl. in Dix Hills. The 911 caller told police that items were missing from their vehicle.

  • An incident of harassment was reported on Feb. 25 at Chipotle Mexican Grill on Walt Whitman Road in Melville.

  • An incident of grand larceny was reported on February 24 at Ruland Rd. in Melville. The 911 caller told police that a wallet was taken their vehicle.

  • An incident of criminal mischief was reported on February 24 at Spagnoli Rd. in Melville. The 911 caller told police that damage was done to their vehicle.

  • An incident of criminal mischief was reported on February 22 at Hill and Tree Ct. in Melville.

  • An incident of harassment was reported on February 23 at Wintergeen Dr. in Melville. Police indicated a fight between a husband and wife. Police reported that the husband shoved his wife.

  • An incident of criminal mischief was reported on February 19 at Roe St. in Melville. Police reported the all car windows of a vehicle had been smashed.

  • An incident of aggravated harassment was reported on February 20 at Altamore St. in Melville.
