Crime Log: Stalker and Threatening Texts

A look at recent arrests and criminal incidents in Half Hollow Hills.

Arrests

  • Jarrett Pagano of Melville was arrested in Huntington Station on Aug. 13 on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the second degree with more than three suspensions.

  • Frank III Hoyte of Dix Hills was arrested on Aug. 12 in Dix Hills on a charge of offering to file a false instrument.

  • Kosta Athanasiadis of Dix Hills was arrested on Aug. 12 in Dix Hills on a charge of fleeing a police officer.

  • Anna Papadakis of Mastic Beach was arrested in Dix Hills on Aug. 8 on a charge of criminal trespassing. She was also charged with harassment in the second degree, indicating physical contact.

  • Joseph Suriano of Dix Hills was arrested in Huntington on Aug. 11 on a charge of possession of marijuana.

  • Daniel Haney of Melville was arrested on Aug. 14 in Melville on a charge of assault with intent to cause physical injury.

  • Melissa Spence of Middletown was arrested in Melville on Aug. 14 on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of 1-percent. First offense.

  • Pamela Salmeron of Farmingdale was arrested in Melville on Aug. 13 on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated, first offense.

  • Peter Mangio of Melville was arrested on Aug. 11 in Melville for criminal mischief with intent to damage property.

  • Incidents

    • An incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported on Aug. 13 at Foothill Road in Dix Hills.

    • An incident of aggravated harassment was reported on Aug. 13 at Half Hollow Road in Dix Hills. Police indicated that a known subject sent threatening text messages.

  • An incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported on Aug. 11 at Gallatin Drive in Dix Hills.

  • An incident of criminal mischief to a fence was reported on Aug. 12 at McCulloch Drive in Dix Hills.

  • An incident of harassment was reported on Aug. 8 at State Place in Dix Hills. Police indicated that the complainant was allegedly stalked by a known male.
