Crime Report: Brick Through Windshield, Pharmacist Attacked

Recent police activity in the Dix Hills/Melville area.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Incidents

  • An incident of criminal mischief, in which a brick was thrown through the windshield of a car, was reported on Maryland Street in Dix Hills at 2:32 a.m. on April 24.

  • An incident of criminal mischief to a mailbox was reported on Duke Place in Dix Hills at 3 a.m. on April 24.

  • An incident of harassment was reported on Leatrice Court in Dix Hills at 4:50 p.m. on April 24.

  • An incident of criminal mischief, in which a pharmacist was attacked by unknown people, was reported on Walt Whitman Road in Melville at 10:15 a.m. on April 24.

  • An incident of harassment was reported on Burrs Lane in Dix Hills at 5:10 p.m. on April 26.  

  • An incident of criminal mischief was reported on Concord Street in Dix Hills at 10:45 p.m. on April 27. 

  • An incident of assault was reported on Broadhollow Road in Melville at noon on April 27.

  • An incident of criminal mischief was reported on Arcadia Drive in Dix Hills at 11 p.m. on April 28. 

  • An incident of grand larceny was reported on Quintree Lane in Melville at 4 p.m. on April 28.

  • An incident of grand larceny was reported on Round Swamp Road in Melville at 9 p.m. on April 28. 

  • An incident of criminal mischief was reported on Express Drive S. in Melville at 2:30 p.m. on April 30.

  • A burglary was reported on Pettit Court in Melville at 3:45 a.m. on April 30. The complainant woke up and saw a man in a hoodie inside his/her house. The man then fled the scene. 

  • Arrests

    • Richard Dombroff, of Dix Hills, was arrested in Dix Hills on April 24 on a charged of assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon. 

    • Stanley Pierre, of Dix Hills, was arrested in Dix Hills on April 25 on a charge of burglary.

    • Vanessa Gurrieri, of Dix Hills, was arrested in Huntington Station on April 25 on a charge of harassment. 

    • Wilber Iglesias, of Huntington Station, was arrested in Melville on April 29 on a charge of criminal mischief, intent to damage property.
