Crime Report: Criminal Possession of a Loaded Firearm

Only a few arrests were made by Suffolk County's Second Precinct police officers between Aug. 31 and Sept. 6; but there were a number of "incidents."

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Arrests in 11746 between Aug. 31 and Sept. 6:

Henry Yang from Melville was arrested in Huntington Station for petit larceny on 8/31.

Jason Cooper from Dix Hills was arrested in Dix Hills for criminal possession of a loaded firearm on 9/1.

Charles Desnoyers from Wheatley Heights was arrested in Dix Hills, also for criminal possession of a loaded firearm on 9/1.

Salvatore Rios from Deer Park was arrested in Dix Hills for criminal mischief on 9/1.

Incidents in Dix Hills from Aug. 31 through Sept. 6:

On Sept. 4:

At 6:54 p.m., petit larceny of pool equipment from a backyard was reported at Susan La.

At 7:41 p.m., a dispute with a tenant, who threatened to kill him was reported at Wildwood Drive.

 At 11:21 p.m., a harassment call was made to a house on Corsa Street.

On Sept. 3:

At 7 p.m., petit larceny of items from a car, including Gucci sunglasses was reported on Ryder Avenue.

 At 11 p.m., criminal mischief was reported on Penrose for property damage to a mailbox.

At midnight, petit larceny—missing wood--was reported on Oakfield Avenue.

At 7 p.m., petit larceny—property markers—was reported on Susan Lane.

On Sept. 2:

At 11 p.m., grand larceny—theft of parts from a vehicle in the service department—was reported at Huntington Toyota's Service Department on East Jericho Turnpike.

At 10 p.m., petit larceny was reported at Middlesex Drive.

At 7:45 p.m., criminal mischief was reported on Deer Park Avenue.

At 8:20 p.m., harassment at Imperial Gate was reported—a husband being violent toward his wife.

Sept. 1:

At 12:30 a.m., a son made threats to kill companion via the phone. This was reported on Baldwin Path.

Aug. 31:

At 11:30 p.m., a mailbox was reported knocked down on Stonehurst Lane.
