Crime Report: Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Needle

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's crime blotter. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. A criminal charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Arrests between Aug. 17 and Aug. 25:

Salvatore Rios from Deer Park was arrested in Dix Hills for criminal mischief  on 8/25.

James Franz from Wheatley Heights was arrested in Huntington Station for DWI on 8/21. It was his first offense. 

Canard Breland from Wheatley Heights was arrested in Huntington Station for petit larceny on 8/19. 

Raynaldo DeJesus Jr. from Mastic Beach was arrested in Dix Hills for criminal possession of marijuana in public and for loitering while using a controlled substance on 8/18. 

Mallory Miller from Melville was arrested in South Huntington for possession of a hypodermic instrument and for loitering while using a controlled substance on 8/18. 

Justin Lewinter from Melville was arrested in South Huntington for criminal possession of a controlled substance on 8/18. 

Joseph Rivera from Shirley was arrested in Dix Hills for criminal possession of a controlled substance and for criminal possession of marijuana in public on 8/18.

 Geraldine Stuhler from Melville was arrested in Huntington Station for criminal contempt and disobeying a court order on 8/17.  

Incidents in Dix Hills from Aug. 20 through Aug. 25:

On Aug. 25:

at 12:27 p.m., there was a burglary reported at 2 Maryland Avenue.

At 5:22 p.m., criminal mischief was reported at 4 Shoreham Drive.

At 9:50 p.m., grand larceny was reported at 3 Seaman Neck Road.

On Aug. 24:

At 9 a.m., harassment was reported at 2 Expressway Drive North.

 On Aug. 23:

At 8 p.m., petit larceny was reported at Kirby Court.

At 12:30 p.m., criminal mischief was reported at 4 Chatham Place.

At 1 a.m., grand larceny was reported at 3 Rustic Gate Lane.

At 9 a.m., burglary was reported at 2 Sorrel Hill Court.

On Aug. 22:

At 6 p.m., grand larceny was reported at 3 Astro Place.

At 8:40 a.m., harassment was reported at 2 Somner Drive.

On Aug. 21:

At 3 p.m., criminal mischief was reported at 4 Carlls Path.

At 3:45 a.m., criminal mischief was reported at 3 Campbell Drive.

On Aug. 20:

At 11:30 p.m., criminal mischief was reported at 4 Ryder Avenue.

At 11 p.m., criminal mischief was reoprted at 4 Swarthmore Lane.

Also at 11 p.m., criminal mischief was reported at 4 Campbell Drive.
