Dix Hills Crime Log: Burglar Jumps Out of House Window

A look at recent criminal incidents reported to police.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • An incident of alleged criminal mischief, in which a vehicle drove over a resident’s lawn and damaged property, was reported at Tree Hollow Court in Dix Hills Aug. 19.

  • An incident of alleged grand larceny involving theft of items from a vehicle and using stolen credit cards, was reported at Oakfield Avenue in Dix Hills Aug. 19.

  • An incident of alleged burglary was reported at McNulty Street in Dix Hills Aug. 16.

  • An incident of alleged burglary, in which the subject went through the side door, was reported at Carlls Straight Path in Dix Hills Aug. 14.

  • An incident of alleged grand larceny was reported at Cather Avenue in Dix Hills Aug. 14.

  • An incident of alleged burglary involving copper taken from a house was reported at Bagatelle Road in Dix Hills Aug. 11.

  • An incident of alleged burglary, in which the subject was said to have jumped out of the window into the complainant’s backyard, was reported at Ascot Court in Dix Hills Aug. 13.

Why doesn't the scpd have a crime log on their website to inform us citizens of what is happening to our communities? We should demand that.
