Dix Hills FD Hosts Community CPR Class

Cardio pulminary resuscitation, or CPR, is a critical life-saving technique, and our community would benefit greatly if more individuals were trained in this skill. So the Dix Hills Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an American Heart Association's "Friends & Family CPR" class. This class will be held Saturday, April 5, from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 12:00 noon at the Dix Hills Fire Department, 115 E. Deer Park Rd, Dix Hills (next to the Northern State Pkwy).

There is no fee for this class.

This course is ideal for students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life. The course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only® CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant.

This American Heart Association course does not offer a course completion card or certification.

As seating is limited, a reservation is required, and acceptance will be on a first-come basis. To register please call or RSVP no later then Friday, March 28th.

Should you have further questions, or want to participate in this class, feel free to email us at jmattes@dixhillsfd.org or call (631) 499-8836 Ext 1.
