Dix Hills FD Responds to DPA Crash
DH FD handles a two-car collision on Saturday night.
Volunteers from the Dix Hills Fire Department responded to a two-car collision at the intersection of Deer Park Avenue and Vanderbilt Parkway, shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday, December 18.
About 30 firefighters and EMS personnel were on the scene with three heavy rescue trucks, two ambulances, and first responder/paramedic units, under the direction of Assistant Chiefs Richard Granahan and Tom Magno.
One male patient suffered a head injury and was transported to Huntington Hospital by the Dix Hills Rescue Squad.
