Updated: E. Northport Man Seriously Injured in Dix Hills Crash

A two-car accident leaves two drivers injured.

A 46-year-old East Northport man was seriously injured in a two-car crash this morning, said.

Mark Roesler, of Cendry Lane in East Northport, was driving a 2010 Toyota pickup truck traveling west on Route 25 in Dix Hills near East Deer Park Road when he was struck by Abdul Halimi, 37, of 7th Ave. North in Huntington Station, who was driving a 2000 Toyota minivan east. 

Roesler was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center with broken bones and internal injuries. Halimi was transported to Huntington Hospital with broken bones.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Suffolk County Police Department's Second Squad at 631-854-8200.
