Four Arrested in Dix Hills Armed Robbery

A group of local residents are accused of pulling a gun on three teens to take their cell phones.

Suffolk County Police have arrested four local residents who are said to have in order to steal their cell phones last month.

On July 25 at about 10:40 p.m., a group of Dix Hills teenagers, ages 15 and 16, were walking from a friend's house at the corner of Suncrest Drive and Branwood Drive to go to a sleepover when they saw a man and a woman walking toward them on the opposite side of the street. A dark blue Honda was traveling slowly behind the couple. Within a minute of noticing the the car, the boys saw the driver get out of the vehicle and run toward them with a blue bandana covering his nose and mouth.

According to the police report, the driver held a gun up to one of the boys, demanding that the teens empty their pockets and give up their cell phones.

Three cell phones were taken, according to the report.

After an investigation, the following four individuals were charged with robbery in the first degree by Second Squad detectives:

  • Robert C. Jones, 18, of Wheatley Heights, was arrested on Aug. 10.
  • Lonnie Elliselder, 22, of Dix Hills, was arrested on Aug. 7.
  • Stanley Pierre, 22, of Dix Hills, was arrested on Aug. 9.
  • Samantha Debetta, 18, of Dix Hills, was arrested on Aug. 7.

All four were scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip.
