HS East Grad Killed in Car Crash

Police say Patrick Bellero, 20, lost control of his car in East Farmingdale Sunday morning.

A 2010 High School East graduate was killed in a single car wreck in East Farmingdale early Sunday morning, according to Suffolk Police. 

Patrick Bellero, of Melville, was driving a 2004 Infiniti eastbound on Conklin Street, east of New Highway, at 5:05 a.m. when his vehicle veered off the road and struck a fence, police said. 

Bellero, who played soccer for the Thunderbirds during his time at East, was transported to Nassau University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Police are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
